Justine M. Schmollinger, Ph.D., J.D.
Dr. Schmollinger is a California licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years in the field, specializing in Forensic and Correctional Psychology. She has extensive training, receiving her Masters degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City and completing her externship experience at Bellevue Hospital Forensic Psychiatry Service.
Dr. Schmollinger completed a joint degree program obtaining her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in Palo Alto with a focus in Forensic Psychology. She completed an APA accredited internship at Vacaville Psychiatric Program within the California Medical Facility. She also obtained her law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco with a specialization in Litigation. Her focus in law school was criminal defense and appellate law.
Dr. Schmollinger has worked completing psychodiagnostic, cognitive and neuropsychological screening, and sex offender risk evaluations, as well as suicide and violence risk assessments for incarcerated male offenders for the State of California over the last 16 years. Her responsibilities also included providing individual and group psychotherapy as well as conducting research. Her current research interest focuses on the suicide risk and protective factors of life sentenced inmates. She is also a member of the American Psychology-Law Society, division 41 of the American Psychological Association (APA).
